Tahoe OG Kush

OG Is one of the strongest cannabis strains in the medical marijuana community. THC contents have been tested to be anywhere from 24-28% THC. Many Medical Marijuana patients choose OG Kush Primarily for Sleep and pain relieving attributes. The true origin of “OG Kush” isn’t really clear, too many stories which don’t relate at all. Judging by its growth structure and its similarities to other “Kush’s”, this strain actually might be a land-race Kush from the middle east of its own. From personal experience, growing out many different strains and phenotypes’ given to me by veteran growers going back all the way to the early 70’s tell me that “OG KUSH”was introduced to the US ` longer than most growers believe. There are several Phenotypes’ of OG Kush being circulated around the United States. Many popular OG versions would be the Larry, Tahoe and SFV OG (San Fernando Valley OG).
OG Kush can get easy to grow indoors once you have dialed in your environment. The vegetative stage for OG is most important when considering Yield, the attribute which OG lacks the most indoors. Super-cropping is a great technique to use with OG as it grows. This simple method can make your plant strong and ready to hold the dense buds of OG. Squeezing the stem until it crimps is the right idea. To create that even canopy, always super-crop the tallest branches of the plant, an inch under the top. The OG’s growth structure lacks the strength most cannabis strains have which is a solid stalk. “viney” and stretchy would be the best way to describe the growth. The overall goal is to create a solid canopy not to dense, but enough to absorb the distribution of light. This is where super cropping plays a vital role to achieve that “Sea of green” canopy. A tomato trellis is commonly used when growing OG, one for the vegetative stage and another if needed for the flowering stage. OG tends to triple its length once in flowering stage. Overall node spacing would be 4-6 inches depending on Light intensity near the end of the flowering Phase. It takes a full ten weeks to finish OG (including the flushing stage). The average most experienced growers keep OG in the vegetative stage is 2-3 weeks with horizontal reflected HID lighting to maximize yield. OG grows much more solid and stronger under natural sunlight. It is an enormous difference in difficulty comparing from indoor to outdoor, outdoor preferably for OG Kush.
Nutrients can play a vital role when growing any plant. Preferably to achieve maximum potency, aroma, and flavor is to grow organically. Using organic methods of fertilizer is ideal when growing any kind of medicinal or edible plant. Since we’re dealing with OG here, it is important to keep Phosphorus and Potassium levels above average in the flowering stage, using many types of guano, worm castings compost tea’s etc.
Growing the non organic way using petroleum based nutrients is the other option. It can be noted that chemical nutrients have proved to increase growth and yield but not necessarily potency or quality. Og generally needs 700-1000 PPM’s of a balanced Calcium and Magnesium enriched nutrient solution. 5.5-6.0 pH would be desirable allowing some fluctuation within the given pH range. Giving more concentration of nutrient surpassing the 1000PMM mark is not recommended due to experienced slower growth and overall lower yield. Depending on lighting, and certain nutrient, PPMs. will vary, but the general rule for most popular chemical based nutrients is under 1000PPMs.
OG is very prone to Powdery Mildew, and also hermaphidite traits when surpassing ten weeks of indoor flowering. Most breeders have encountered problems finding phenotypes having auto flowering and hermaphidite traits.
When OG is finished one can agree that the general aroma of OG is lemony/fuel, lemon aroma being the most dominant feature when it comes to the smell. The taste matches its fragrance, very lemony with earthy undertones. OG Kush is generally used by patients with sleeping disorders or for general pain relief.

Tahoe OG is so quality I love it, I just hate how the yield is so bad on it, but this is the case with most OG’s, you sacrifice yield for quality. It is by far my favorite OG

I live in Oregon and have a medical marijuana “library card”. In Oregon the medical marijuana program is called the OMMP and it basically means you have the patient (the person who uses the cannabis, usually yourself) the caregiver ( the person who goes out and get’s the cannabis for you and even lights your bowls if you’re too sick) and the grower (can be the same person as the patient or the caregiver or someone totally different). So, I am a patient, and also a grower and I am allowed to grow a whole 6 full size plants and 21 ‘starts’. Plants under 12″ tall and 12″ wide. I recently ordered a 10 pack of CALI CONNECTION TAHOE OG REGULAR seeds and am looking forwars to some Lemony funky goodness. I’ve grown OG before. I’ve grown Chem Dawg before. I’m growing an OG hybrid right now called Cataract Kush. The thing is, I usually buy feminized seeds and these are all regular. Any way of increasing my female to male ratio?
