NYC Diesel
NYC Diesel is super dense and smelly. The smell stinks of highly compact/concentrated fruit thats mixed with the sweet scent of diesel. The taste is very citrus like, with a blend of fuel. The effect was as if the inside of your body was floating, don’t get me wrong, the effect is intense but in a relaxing way. I would consider this strain of medical marijuana for those who have problems with sleep, lack of appetite, or planning on a long trip.

NYC Diesel is a tastey strain with a very cerebral high.
Let me clear something up real quick since J. King already did all the hard work. This strain is the same strain as The Chem (which is the same as The Dawg), and regular old Diesel. I have heard some say the NYC grower ‘refined’ it but I call bs. Some strains just grow better in different environments, my guess is the NYC grower had that.
My experiences with it are almost identical to the review written. I have tried Chem/Dawg and it did have all of the same attributes (talk about strong). I did not know Soma Seeds got a hold of it and I am interested to know if they have done anything to modify it.
Actually, NYC Diesel is a Hybrid, unlike Sour Diesel, which is Sativa. NYC Diesel is pretty much the child of Sour Diesel, and they smoke pretty similar. The difference is that NYC Diesel comes from Sour Diesel x Kush. While smoking a blunt of NYC Diesel, I still feel the sativa sensation of Sour Diesel, but not overwhelming, but with an excellent indica high in the head, like OG Kush. To me, NYC Diesel is almost the perfect blend of head and body high, a great Hybrid, but mostly a body high like Sour Diesel.
Yeah i’m pretty sure the strain reviewed here is in no way related to the chem/dawg/diesel family. Soma seeds made a fruity sativa and named NYC Diesel even though it doesn’t have any of those genetics. I got an O of this stuff in BC and was told it was Soma, and it was so different from the diesels i’ve had down here in oregon.
picked up the last batch at the grey area since he is the dude for any bud from new york you need in europe. feels like it is the little brother to trainwreck which the grey area has and is over the top with looks and taste
Tried it yesterday at the Greenhouse coffeeshop and it was phenomenal!!!
Love the stinky musty smell, kind of like an old sock left moist in the back of your drawer for weeks.. but once you’re smoking it that same smell becomes euphoric! great stuff!
First off the bud in the picture is not NYC Diesel. Secondly Sour diesel is totally related to ChemDawg which is a strain named after the grower who was a Grateful Deadhead. ChemDawg is a cross between NYC Diesel and OG Kush. High sativa and totally distinct strong flavor, unmistakable. Smells exactly like it tastes. From my own personal experience it grows best in hydro.
