Hash Plant

It’s difficult to pin-point a definitive smell to this bud. If it came down to it, I’d have to say it smells like a watered-down dollop of Heinz 57. Isn’t pleasant at all which makes me question why I bought this strain in the first place. Also, the looks aren’t very flattering, compact buds with minimal visible trichomes ( but their there).

The earthy flavor of the smoke left something to be desired, a taste similar to chlorophyll (a likely symptom of improper curing.) A good aspect about Hash Plant is its very resinous nature, so you know the end result will be just fine. The high is very nice. It starts in the chest area and gradually works its way up north. The stone lasts for more then a hour.

If you don’t like all that glitz and glamor with rock star buds like kush, then Hash Plant might be right for you. Although it’s over-priced, doesn’t taste very good, and is kind of malodorous; it tries to compensate in the effects department and does so admirably.

-Good body high
-Horrible taste/smell
-good to gain an appetite

I’m going to post about the different Hash Plant strains I’ve had here rather than writting reviews since the names of many are too ambiguous and seeds are not available online for them. I got all of them in the Vancouver BC area. There were all new hybrids in the area a few months ago, the names indicate the parentage although like I said some of them are too ambiguous.

I’ve had now six different strains of hash plant; two kinds entitled Cherry Hash Plant, Purple Hash Plant, Lemon Hash Plant, Afgani Hash Plant, and just plain old Hash Plant.

All of them have a very strong body high and hashy taste with different aftertastes, The Cherry’s, Purple, and Lemon all had a favorable after tastes, the other two were just bland and hashy. The smokes were all very smooth also, much more than anything I’ve had that was reasonably potent. The stains are fairly potent but none of them are that amazing, just a nice relaxing smoke. Hash Plant is a great to smoke after a hard day. I could describe the high in one word; couchlock. In addition to that the high is sedative, euphoric, and long lasting. The burn out is long and sedatative also encouraging sleep.

Overall I find Hash Plant to be a good strain to hybridize with, but if you want to breed an Indica hybrid I’d recommend using Kush for many reasons which I can elaborate on if anyone would me to. But if you like being sedatated and couchlocked you’ll like Hash Plant, try getting hybrids of it though, obviously they will be more potent and the highs have other subtleties from their other parent that make the experience better.
