AK 47 is a great strain… very smooth…
I’m confused. I know AK-47 as an Indica. It flowers in 47 days~!!! not a sativa in my book. And how di it win best Sativa in 1999 and best Indica in 2003???? WTF?
It has all of these awesome traits as a result of some serious work on Serious Seeds part. I have a feeling it won best indica as well because of the powerful indica effects the herb can have towards the end of the high. By the way you can only get a 47 day flowering period with a hydro setup.
I must have been really high when I wrote this. It can flower in as short at 47 days in a hydro setup. A bud can be harvest at different times to give a more dominate high either indica or sativa. Its because CBD production does not maximize until late in the flowering period. You can harvest 2 or even three weeks early to achieve a more sativa like high. However, Terpene production also increases in the later weeks which is basically all your flavor.
ak-47 was bred from 4 land race strains, a thai (sativa), a mexican (sativa), a columbian (sativa), and an afgani (indica). so it has mainly sativa genetics although most of the ak i’ve smoked is about a 50/50 high. it has a nice sweet flavor, very distinctive, one of a kind. great strain.
AK-47 was great. Very uplifting. Made my neck pain disappear.
my buddy just germinated 10 AK47 x Cindy 99….can’t wait to see this! Anyone ever try this cross?
